Personal Mission Statement

Why a personal mission statement?  It helps me keep the important things in focus.  I update it from time to time.
I am at my best when I am well rested.  I will strive to get enough sleep.
I am at my worst when I am resentful.  I will strive to maintain perspective.
I will enjoy my work by finding employment where I can solve problems.
I will find enjoyment in my personal life through experiencing new things.
I will find opportunities to use my natural talents and gifts such as my intelligence and creativity.
I can do anything I set my mind to. I will write, I will learn, I will explore, I will invent.
My life’s journey is a journey of discovery. I will learn new things all the time. I will help people live better lives. I will share this journey with the family I love. I will strive to live my life journey for God. I am taking the journey because I want to fill my life with purpose. My journey will end with satisfaction, knowing I have found and fulfilled my purpose, and have created a means for that purpose to go on after me.
I will be a good father and husband, and my family will be proud of the things I have done in my life. I will be a good leader of our family.

I will stop procrastinating and start working on:

  • My motivation.  I will live a life of purpose.
  • My Charity.  I will stop focusing on myself and live my life for and with others.
  • My Patience.  I will stop reacting with anger to provocation.

I will strive to incorporate the following attributes into my life:

  • My faith
  • My innovation
  • My love and support

I will constantly renew myself by focusing on the four dimensions of my life:

  • I will lose weight and stay fit.
  • I will expand my faith to more of my life.
  • I will keep learning.
  • I will be involved with my family.
