Yeah the corn field behind us gets chopped for silage usually. they also shove it into open top concrete holding areas that then get tarped over...

I see it all the time.... but then again living on the edge of Des Moines and driving to KC or NE Iowa to see relatives means I see lots (and lots and lots) of farms....

Heck I even have a handful of nieces who are honest to goodness milk maids... they get paid really well too compared to other high school and college aged kids.... the hours suck though!

Holy Frijoles.... I checked in for a diet update and I read this - UGH!! That slick sheeting material is called luan board (not sure on spelling - lou- an -- not anne)... anyhow whomever used particle boards on your subfloor should be found and beaten.... that is horrible!

Looking forward to the remodel pics! Good luck finishing things up - because winter is a coming and missing flooring is never fun when the ice rolls in!

Good for you! I have not dieted at all with my weight loss and have done mostly training for triathlons.... well that is all over now and so it is on to the diet phase. I am pinned at roughly the same weight mark you are... or so I think!

Way to mix it up and keep up the good work!

Between you and Mike I will be forced to stay on a diet out of peer - cyber-pressure

Hmmm...I might have a hard time convincing my wife that I need a Wii to lose weight. Still, the kids would all definitely be on my side...heh heh

Dude - get a Wii fit and it will track your weight and when you weigh in and it has a nice little voice that says things like, "THAT'S OBESE"

As for bouncing - I did a triathlon in KC and took the next week off - I dropped 2 pounds by the end of the week.... I then spent the next week just doing some weight lifting and short runs on the treadmill (ten minutes) - did not lose or gain any weight.... getting ready for 3rd and most likely final triathlon of the season and after week #1 - I was up 4 pounds....

Congratulations, Beau - we weigh about the same - which means there must be a vast, global conspiracy ran by a cabal or.... errr... I digress.

I like your idea of setting short, achievable goals, that might be a mental exercise that could help me.

Hmmm caught up on your posts and still laughing @ the poop in hand incident! haha! Have that happen - then think about eating with that hand.... might help cut back on your eating!

Seriously though - congrats - everyone asks how I've lost weight and I tell them - exercise and eat right. I've dropped 35 pounds or so since january training for these triathlon things..... I am almost done with my first week off since January 1..... next week I go back to just lifting some weights @ the Y.... then the following monday - back at the whole swim bike run thing!

Keep us posted on the weight loss! I have started a blog on my next weight loss plans.... but finding time to finish is much like trying to find William's shoes I imagine!
