So, I got a little silly with the camera tonight. I present for your enjoyment, a nine-part self-taken series of self portraits. :)
I know, I know…you’re not laughing at me, you’re laughing with me. Well, no. Actually, you probably are laughing at me.
It seems that labor day is aptly named. I had big plans for the day…most of it involving labor. That’s not a bad thing. I sit in a chair all day at work after all, so a little physical labor is good for the soul.
My plans for the day included brush-hogging, cutting down a lot of little thorn trees (’cause you can’t brush-hog over them), and maybe even burn some of the brush I’ve got piled up.
That’s not what ended up happening though. I still did plenty of work…just not what I had in mind. I replaced the kitchen faucet - it’s now attractive, and has a sprayer too. I fixed a faucet in the bathroom - one of the handles was put in askew and I straightened it out. I also put up new clothes lines and did some grocery shopping (yes we have a dryer, but the clothes lines are still nice for blankets and towles, and saving on the electric bill in general).
All of the items above were priorities for my wife. Well…I like to eat, so I guess grocery shopping was on my priority list too. Don’t get me wrong - they’ve needed doing for a while now, it’s just that they weren’t high on my personal to-do list. And besides, she made chocolate cheese cake, so it’s not like I’m not seeing a little pay-back. ;)
